Bricktory — Privacy Policy
Last updated 9 September 2026
Bricktory is a LEGO brick inventory app made by Stacklis. It has no account, no sign-in and no ads. Your inventory lives on your phone and is not uploaded anywhere.
What we collect
Nothing. There is no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK and no crash reporter in the app. We do not know who you are and we cannot see what you own.
What stays on your device
- Your inventory, notes, hunt list and owned sets, in a database on the phone.
- The LEGO parts catalogue you download inside the app.
- Backup files, written to your own Downloads folder. You choose where they go from there.
What leaves the device, and when
- Scanning a piece. The photo you take is sent to Brickognize to be identified, and the answer comes back as a part number. It is a picture of a brick. We do not keep it and it is not tied to any identity.
- Updating the catalogue. The app downloads public data files from Rebrickable. This is a download only — nothing about you is sent.
- Price lookups. Off by default. If you turn them on, the app asks a price server that you point it at yourself.
Permissions
The camera permission is used to scan a piece, and only while you are on the scan screen. The app never records audio.
Children
Bricktory is not aimed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app removes the inventory database with it. Backup files you exported stay where you put them until you delete them. There is no server-side copy to request.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
